Where it started to now…
The Atwick Creations Story
The story behind the name is simple - AT is my initials (Anastasia Tomson) and Wick is the start of my babies surnames.
Atwick Creations officially begun May 2021 - Shortly after my 2nd Baby Boy ‘Tommy’ was born! Which makes it so amazing that my little boy shared his birthday with my little empire!
Some people thought I was mad balancing a whole new routine with a Newborn and an 18 Month Old and taking the plunge to kick off this company, but my god was it the best decision for me.
Not only have I started up my own business, I have also discovered a new hobby and found something I absolutely love doing.
Starting at my first career; hairdressing for 6 years and took a huge turn into a complete new career being an estate agent negotiator for 5 more years until baby 1 and 2 came along pushing me to follow my own career path.
The Inspiration
The inspiration for my creations came from when I had my first born ‘Teddy’ back in 2019,
As we were decorating his nursery, I loved the idea of getting personalised bits to match everything in his room and always struggled finding anything I liked in any shops or online stores, let alone finding something that can be personalised exactly how I want it with no limitations.
So that’s when it begun, as I was decorating the nursery I was searching for supplies and colours and themes I wanted, and then started experimenting with more and more and seeing what works and what doesn’t and coming across more and more designs I couldn’t wait to get stuck into.
Where it started
After experimenting with materials and products for over a year and investing so much into testers checking qualities, and creating a few new baby gifts for friends and family, I thought it was finally time to create a company and page and see how it plays out over on Instagram.
I had absolutely no experience of running my own business and not having a Manager to turn to for all my needs and advice, It’s safe to say I have had to learn many things very fast from the very beginning, and truly could never have prepared myself with how fast this company had grown!
Within the first year we hit such huge milestones, from the cleaning goddess herself Mrs Hinch sharing my instagram, to topping 10k followers and having over 1000 sales, and even doing our first market, it really had been the most inspiring and fast paced year I had faced in my life while dealing with setbacks of having 2 toddlers, covid, recession and all the strikes on top!
Since then I am forever chasing my tail trying to catch up on my orders while getting over excited with all the new launches even though my workload physically can’t take it, lets all laugh together..
So there has been and will be many times my order books open and close so this 1 woman band can catch up on everything and life!
Expanding
Then came 2024 with huge changes, from working with amazing love island/tv stars and social influencers, to then finally securing our very first workshop premises, creating amazing new expanding opportunities and allowing us to grow and store a lot more stock and create ready to go new launches with minimum turnaround!
